Also part of States of Exchange is Stage Exchange, a message exchange project facilitated by artist Carrie Schneider. Beginning February 26, labotanica becomes the hub of a message exchange practice that detaches specific individual identity and explores pervasive stages of experience instead.

How it works

1:1 reciprocity
Find a stage you connect with. Write a message for someone in that stage. Send it to stage exchange. Receive a message to someone in your stage.  

1. Online by filling out the form on this webpages or at stageexchange.blogspot.com, where invitations to submit and provocations to respond to are posted. Or e-mail your message directly to stageexchange {at} yahoo {dot} com

2. Throughout the city of Houston, where stage boxes are posted stageexchange.blogspot.com/2010/02/map.html

3. Through the  mail,  intercepted at 238 Portland St #6, Houston TX 77006

4. At labotanica, 2316 Elgin, Houston, TX 77004 where the full collection can be read, exchanged, and where letters can be exchanged directly
